Fun Old Fashioned Family Christmas
WOW! I can't believe Christmas has come and gone already! It seems that, the older I get, the faster time goes by. The thing I love about Christmas is that it is one of the few times that all of my family is together. Don't get me wrong, I see most of them quite often, it's just that the holidays is when we are all together at once. My parents have recently moved to South Carolina, about eight hours from where I live. I see them three to four times a year, but I would love to have them closer to home.
This was the first visit that my parents have stayed with my husband and me. They arrived on December 23rd with their two yorkie puppies in tow. I have a one year old dachshund, Leo (see profile picture) that LOVES to play with Winston and Bentley. I have always been a bit of a neat freak, but I realized just how bad it was as I went around the house scrubbing the window sills to be sure that everything was clean. My husband did quite a bit of yard work too. He spent four hours cutting down over-grown bushes, which resulted in hauling three truck loads of branches to the dump.
Anyways, on to internship talk. We are T-minus 13 days until the internship officially begins. I have to go to school for orientation on January 11th, then I visit my second placement classroom on January 12th half of the day and meet with my supervising professor the second half, finally: I begin my first placement on January 13th. I can feel my nerves go wild as I type those words. The only other time I have ever been this nervous was on my wedding day. (: I found myself taking advantage of the after-Christmas this weekend to buy "teacher clothes." I suppose this should be where this blog ends, I'm about to start rambling.
Thank you for listening.
Stay Blessed (:
